I’m an advocate for cutting edge technologies. Ceaselessly curious, you might find me trying to figure out how AI can teach robots to recognise objects, exploring haptics for immersive VR, taking part in EEG studies for MIT, crafting emotive stories for virtual reality, speaking at conferences, or meeting my heroes, like Max Planck of Oculus Story Studio.
I’m currently studying a Master’s in Virtual and Extended Realities at Bristol UWE in the UK. This follows over 15 years’ co-founding and leading a digital learning agency, Sponge, from start up, through scale-up, to PE acquisition.
Sponge
Sponge is a digital learning company based in the UK. I co-founded the company alongside my Mum (it’s a family affair), in 2004, and together we nurtured its growth from 5 people to over 120, earning a cohort of global clients including IKEA, Google, GSK, adidas, Diageo, Toyota, Ogilvy, Lexus, Tesco, and The United Nations.
I headed up the Innovation team and played a key, client-facing and leadership role throughout, with my role involving; ideating, pitching, writing, directing, hiring, supporting, speaking, working on strategy and product / service innovation, and rather a lot of travelling.
Today, I consult for Sponge (and other companies), and currently head up an initiative to promote learning science, producing a podcast series in collaboration with a leading educational neuroscientist.
